Request claim OTP

Use this endpoint to request a verification code (OTP) for claiming a business profile in ArdentaxIT after the business has selected ARDENTAX IT SOLUTIONS - FZCO as its ASP on the EmaraTax portal. See the right panel for the base URL, request samples, and response JSON.

In the partner onboarding path, authenticate with the account-scoped access token from Obtain Account Access Token (not the partner JWT).

When you call this API, ArdentaxIT validates the provided TIN and EmaraTax email, then generates a one-time verification code and sends it to the specified email address. The OTP is valid for 2 minutes.

Rate limit

30 requests/minute per authenticated account. See Rate limiting for details and retry guidance. Each successful request issues a new verification code for the given email and TIN; the code is valid for 2 minutes.

Request fields

`email`	string	Required	EmaraTax-registered email address for the business. Must match the email stored in EmaraTax for the specified TIN. The OTP is sent to this address.	Valid email format.
`tin`	string	Required	Business Tax Identification Number (TIN) as registered in EmaraTax. Identifies the business you want to claim. Must correspond to an unclaimed onboard record where ArdentaxIT is the selected ASP.	Exactly 10 characters; must start with `1`.

Response

Status code: 200 OK

Returns a confirmation that a verification code was sent.

Error responses

Status	Description
400 Bad Request	The request body is invalid, required fields are missing, or the email/TIN combination does not match an eligible business to claim.
401 Unauthorized	Authentication required or the access token is invalid.
403 Forbidden	The authenticated user is not allowed to claim this business.
404 Not Found	No business was found for the provided TIN (or matching EmaraTax email).
429 Too Many Requests	Rate limit exceeded (see Rate limiting).
500 Internal Server Error	An error occurred while processing the request.
